High anisotropic inserted dendritic growth during first stage of Zn monolayer deposition on Ag(111) substrate

چکیده

Sub-monolayer physical layer deposition of Zn on Ag(111) substrate at room temperature is investigated using Auger electron spectroscopy, low energy diffraction and scanning tunneling microscopy. We identified an original highly-anisotropic structure in the shape finger-like inserted dendrite front monolayer growth. On basis STM observations, a mechanism dendritic growth its transition to layered are proposed.

Organic molecular beam deposition: Growth studies beyond the first monolayer

We review recent work on organic molecular beam deposition (OMBD) with emphasis on growth studies beyond the first monolayer, i.e. the evolution of the film structure and morphology. First, we briefly discuss general issues related to growth physics, including epitaxial relations, surface and interface energies, growth modes, correlation functions, dynamic scaling, and growth exponents. We also...

Effect of growth time on ZnO thin films prepared by low temperature chemical bath deposition on PS substrate

ZnO thin films were successfully synthesized on a porous silicon (PS) substrate by chemical bathdeposition method. X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM),and photoluminescence (PL) analyses were carried out to investigate the effect of growth duration(3, 4, 5, and 6 h) on the optical and structural properties of the aligned ZnO nanorods. T...

Control of Substrate Temperature during Diamond Deposition

A method is reported for controlling substrate temperature during chemical vapor deposition of diamond in high heat flux environments such as thermal plasmas or flames. The method is based on flowing a variable-composition argon-helium mixture through channels between the substrate and a watercooled base. A fiberoptic pyrometer temperature reading from the back of the substrate provides feedbac...

Two-Stage Chemical Deposition of Oxide Films

Two-stage chemical deposition (TSCD) technique is used to produce ZnO, Mn2O3 and NiO films on soda-lime glass (SL-G) from an aqueous solution of zinc, manganese and nickel complex, respectively. The TSCD method enables the deposition of metal oxide thin films with a thickness which can be controlled during the preparation procedure. The ZnO, Mn2O3 and NiO thin films were polycrystalline films w...
